The Piedmont Valley Lion’s Club will host their semi-annual all you can eat French toast and sausage or biscuits and gravy breakfast, Sunday, Oct., 2nd at the Piedmont American Legion Hall from 8-12:30pm.  Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for kids 6-11 and children 6 and under eat free.  The Piedmont Valley Ambulance Service will offer free diabetes screening that morning.  FMI: lionwap.org

Rapid Valley United Methodist Church is having their annual pumpkin patch starting Oct. 8th.  Hours will be Monday-Friday 11am to 5:30pm. On Saturdays from 9am-5pm. Sundays from 12pm to 4pm. On October 8th from 11 am-2pm they will have a petting farm with several different animals and we will have some birds as well. There will be some of our first time responders there as well. Hayrides will be available. There is no cost to visit their patch. On October 15th, there will be a kid’s carnival from 11am-2pm. There will be games, face painting, and a bouncing castle. Tickets will be 4 for $1. Free hayrides will be available. Their youth group will be selling hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn.  On October 23rd, they will have a hoe down party from 1:30-3pm. Costumes are encouraged. There will be games, prizes, hayride, treat bags, snacks, a costume parade and pumpkin decorating. The cost is $5 per person. Ages 3-8 years.
