National Weather Service
On April 27th, the National Weather Service is issuing a statewide tornado drill between 9am and 9:30 am. During this time, outdoor warning sirens will be sounded in many towns. Many schools will also be conducting practice drills at this time to prepare students for an actual emergency. Do not be alarmed, it will only be a test. FMI: weather.gov/unr
Caterpiller and United Way of the Black Hills are hosting a 4 person scramble on Friday, April 29th at the Elks Golf Course at 1pm to benefit United Way. $320 per team includes 18 holes, a cart and 2 mulligans. Food provided after the round. FMI: 441.0209
Rapid City Police Dept.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the Rapid City Police Department would like the public to join in this year’s Denim Day activities. Wednesday, April 27th, has been set aside to support survivors of sexual abuse. There will be a walk at the Sioux Park track from 11:00am-1:00pm. They are hoping to get a strong show of support for this event.
Rapid City Christian will be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of its existence. There will be a celebration event at the Hart Ranch campus on Thursday, April 28th @ 6:30pm.
